Blessed day…witnessing growth with the Maria Goretti Network starting a chapter at the Co-Cathedral in Houston. All in God’s time…hope to see more parishes begin chapters within the year.
As for the entire day…this is what I have to offer that spoke the most to me: This song hits me…and it HIT ME AGAIN even more when I watched the video:
Jason Gray “Remind Me Who I Am” Lyrics
When I lose My way,
And I forget my name,
Remind me who I am.
In the mirror all I see,
Is who I don’t wanna be,
Remind me who I am.
In the loneliest places,
When I can’t remember what grace is.
Chorus:
Tell me once again who I am to you.
Who I am to you.
Tell me lest I forget who I am to you.
That I belong to you.
To you.
Verse 2:
When my heart is like a stone,
And I’m running far from home,
Remind me who I am.
When I can’t receive your love,
Afraid I’ll never be enough,
Remind me who I am.
If I’m your beloved,
Can you help me believe it.
Chorus:
Tell me once again who I am to you.
Who I am to you.
Tell me lest I forget who I am to you.
That I belong to you.
To you.
Bridge:
I’m the one you love,
I’m the one you love,
That will be enough,
I’m the one you love.
Chorus:2x
Tell me once again who I am to you.
Who I am to you.
Tell me lest I forget who I am to you.
That I belong to you.
To you.3x
Last year when this song first came out it I not only accepted it FOR ME but also for me to recognize how much my CHILDREN needed to hear from me who they are to me. So I wrote them letters that reminded them who they are to me…not just that I’m ‘proud’ or that they are ‘good boys’ but specifically what it is about them, their personality, their gifts, talents, etc that make them unique that draw me to them as individuals.
Tonight riding home from Mass Ryan saw that I downloaded the song and he said, “Oh, hey, that’s that song…” he plugged in the phone to listen to it on our way to dinner and I had to smile. It reminds him who he is and hopefully he keeps that letter to remind him who he is to me.
I don’t care how old you are we all need to be reminded why we are loved. ‘If I’m your beloved can you help me believe it?‘
Blessings
